January 2015: Montana Emergent Technologies, Inc. Files Joint Patent Application with Montana State University

Montana Emergent Technologies, Inc. (MET) and Montana State University (MSU) have jointly filed a patent application, which was assigned the application number 14/602,127 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The patent application title is “Methods for Increased Hydrocarbon Recovery Through Mineralization Sealing of Hydraulically Fractured Rock Followed by Refracturing”. The inventors are Alfred B. Cunningham of MSU’s Center for Biofilm Engineering and Randy Hiebert of MET. MET and MSU believe that, when granted, the patent will protect their joint intellectual property and lead to significant commercial opportunities.
